Monday, November 24th, 2008

I’ve posted a podcast interview with Neil Mix. Neil’s the lead developer for the Pandora iPhone application.

In the interview, Neil talks about creating the Pandora iPhone application, challenges building a streaming player that works over the EDGE network, parallels between Ajax/JavaScript and Objective-C programming and iPhone UI conventions shared with Tivo and — fire up the Internet time machine — Gopher.

iPhone Rocket

Monday, November 10th, 2008

I posted a video interview with Michael Koppelman about his iPhone rocket.

There’s some really interesting info about using the iPhone in conditions it was probably never intended for. There’s good data, and Michael is a natural interviewee. It’s fun to watch.

Podcast Interview With Dr. Nic Williams

Monday, November 3rd, 2008

I’ve posted a podcast interview with Rails Rock Star turned iPhone Icon Dr. Nic Williams.

Dr. Nic is very entertaining, and it’s an action-packed 15 minutes:

We talk about about his migration manager for updating SQLite iPhone databases, trying to get Ruby onto an iPhone, using Ruby to unit-test Objective-C iPhone code, his company Mocra, and the Mobile Orchard Podcast’s lavish recording studios.
